Rodney Perkins has sung with the Metropolitan Opera Chorus in New York City in the production of Lohengrin and Die Meistersinger Von Nurnberg, and the Verdi Requiem which was performed at Carnegie Hall under the direction of Raymond Hughes,  performances conducted by Maestro James Levine. As a freelance performer and in Conjunction with other performing groups, Rodney has sung at Carnegie Hall several times, performed on Broadway and performed at the White House then under President George Bush, 41. Rodney has performed with the Boston Pops opposite Odetta and the Boys Choir of Harlem. Rodney has toured the United States and abroad performing in many venues. His voice as a background singer can be heard on soundtracks of Malcolm X, Glory, James Williams and Diane Reeves Christmas.
